Mel Middlebrooks ~ 12-string guitar, mandolin and vocals
Originally from Macon, Georgia, Mel worked in Birmingham, Alabama as a Supervisory Deputy Marshal for the United States Marshals Service. He retired, hung up his guns and badge, and moved to Ft. Morgan on the gulf coast in 2002. Mel and his wife Marcia have a son in Birmingham, Alabama named Jacob. Mel plays a Taylor 12-string guitar and provides vocal accompaniment to the band's music. He also created and continuously updates this web page (with considerable weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth).
